Which Part of the 2013 Viper is SRT Showing with this New Teaser?

First, we got a partial black and white outline of the new 2013 Viper, then shortly after SRT revealed the sports car's redesigned snake logo nicknamed "Stryker" and now, we have a real-life teaser photo of the actual model. The new image shows something that looks like it could be a carbon-fiber dressed air intake, though we're not entirely sure. You can check a larger version of the teaser photo after the break and tell us what you think.
Regardless of what’s depicted here, the countdown for the official presentation of the third generation Viper, which for the first time will be marketed under the SRT brand instead of the Dodge nameplate, has begun, as the world premiere is set for New York Auto Show in the first week of April.

Ferrari Video Teases 599 Replacement, Says it will be its Most Powerful Model Ever

On Wednesday, February 29, Ferrari will finally lift the covers off the replacement for its 599 GTB Fiorano supercar that has been in production since 2006. In order to create some buzz and get us excited about a car that most of us will only get the opportunity to drive around the virtual tracks of GT5 and Forza, the Italian automaker published a teaser video that includes some scenes with a covered up prototype.
The Maranello-based company also confirms previous reports that the as of yet unnamed replacement for the 599 will be "the most powerful Ferrari ever", which means that its FF-sourced direct-injection V12 engine will produce more than the 660-horsepower it does on the four-seater model.

Mercedes Presents New 2013 SL63 AMG during Formula 1 Car Launch

Today’s Mercedes-Benz event at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain was supposed to be all about the presentation of it's new Formula 1 car during the first day of the 2012 season’s official tests.
Yet the 2012 F1 racer wasn’t the only Silver Arrow that was launched at the Barcelona track: as you can see in the video that follows, Michael Schumacher arrived on the pit lane driving the brand-new 2013 model year SL63 AMG.
Like the standard versions of Mercedes’ sixth-generation roadster, the AMG-tuned model uses a new chassis built of aluminum and magnesium which is lighter, yet much stiffer than its predecessor.
The SL63 AMG is set apart from the regular SL models by a more aggressive body kit. It includes a redesigned grille, a front bumper with bigger air intakes, specially designed LED daytime running lights, wider sills and a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and four exhaust pipes.
The hottest SL also sports “V8 Biturbo” badges on its sides, indicating that under its hood lies the new generation of Mercedes' twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 that also powers other AMG models like the 2012 ML63.
The force-fed V8 pumps out a generous 529bhp while at the same time it is 30 percent more fuel efficient than the previous generation SL63 AMG.

Subaru's New BRZ GT300 gets On-Track Shakedown at Fuji Speedway

Subaru's motorsports division has been busily working on its new BRZ GT300 racecar, which made its world premiere alongside the regular BRZ sports coupe at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show in December. The Japanese automaker put the BRZ GT300 through its paces this past weekend at the Fuji Speedway in Japan as it prepares for the 2012 Super GT championship, which starts at the end of March.
We still don't know all the details on the BRZ GT300, though the company has mentioned that it is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine without providing any further details. The BRZ-based racer replaces the outgoing Subaru Legacy STI model.

First Official Shots of 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG

The new Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG roadster made its first appearance this morning when F1 drivers Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg presented the car at the German team's official Formula One test in Barcelona, Spain, ahead of its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in early March. At the heart of the high-performance version of the new SL is AMG's new M157 engine, which is used on a variety of other Mercedes models such as the CLS 63 AMG sports saloon and the ML 63 AMG SUV.
The 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 unit is good for 529bhp and 590 lb-ft of torque, propelling the hardtop roadster from standstill to 60mph (96km/h) in 4.2 seconds en route to an electronically governed top speed of 155mph (250km/h).
There's also an optional AMG Performance package that boosts output to 550bhp and 664 lb-ft, while reducing the 0 to 60mph time to 4.1 seconds and allowing the SL63 AMG to reach a maximum velocity of 186mph (299km/h).
Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a seven-speed AMG Speedshift. automatic transmission.
The new generation SL's lightweight chassis made out of aluminum and magnesium has helped shave 275 pounds off the outgoing model, something that not only improves performance but also reduces fuel consumption – by up to 30 percent over the previous SL 63 AMG, says Mercedes.
A beefed up braking system with six-piston calipers up front and single-piston calipers at the back along with a reworked suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels shod in high-performance tires, and unique AMG touches inside and out, round out the package.

BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible (2012) first pictures

BMW has unveiled the new 2012 M6 – a two-door M5, in essence. The 552bhp super-coupe will be one of the highlights of the brand's stand at the 2012 Geneva motor show.
The M6 will be sold as a coupe or convertible, and Munich has unveiled both this weekend.

BMW M6 (2012): the lowdown

That M5 comparison is valid. The 6-series is a slinkier, two-door 5-series after all. So the M6 takes the same bi-turbo 4.4-litre V8, blown to produce a stout 552bhp at 5750rpm and 502lb ft at just  1500rpm.
Yes, that means the high-revving shriek of the old V10 M6 is banished, but on our first acquaintance of our long-term test M5 that's no bad thing. This V8 is high on performance, if lacking in some of the fizz of the old V10.
To give you some idea of much faster the new M6 is, that power figure is up 10%, maximum torque by a third!

So how fast is the new BMW M6?

The coupe passes 62mph in just 4.2 seconds and 124mph (200kph) in 12.6 seconds. Top speed is governed to 155mph, although the M Driver's Package will up that to 189mph.
It's more than just a stonking big engine though. The new M6 has a carbonfibre reinforced plastic roof to lower the centre of gravity. BMW first introduced this tech on the M3 CSL, and it's keen to fly the flag for cabonfibre ahead of the forthcoming composite i cars.
BMW claims the new M6 is a third less thirsty than before, quoting a 28.5mpg combined economy figure. The leggy seven-speed twin-clutch transmission helps there, of course.
Niceties such as switchable dampers are standard and you get the M5's Active M Differential as standard too. To simplify the multiple choice of which electronic modes to select, you can pre-programme your favourite settings in two M buttons on the steering wheel.

How can I spot the new 2012 M6?

BMW is making it easier to spot its M cars in future. Design chief Adrian van Hooydonk told CAR that the discreet M6 badge on the front grille will become an M mainstay. If you like subtlety, Munich appears to be upping the show-off factor.
Blue brake callipers will be standard-fit on all new M cars, too, and if you spec the optional 19kg lighter carbon brakes there'll be further telltales: those anchors will take on a golden hue.
All future M cars will adopt the M6's bespoke three-spoke steering wheel, too. In the past, they've never had a fully individual design, just retrimmed versions of existing wheels. And there's more M blue piping inside too.
It's all part of a concerted effort to increase sales of M cars. The halo models will remain very focused affairs, but BMW is pushing the halfway house M models, such as the recently unveiled tri-turbo diesel versions of the 5-series and X6.
