In a few days' time, Fiat will debut the new Viaggio sedan at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing, but we just got our hands on a fresh pair of pictures that give us a better view of the compact model - not that you're going to be surprised in any way as the Italian saloon is a rebadged Dodge Dart.

What separates the Fiat Viaggio from its newly launched sibling in the U.S. is the bespoke front end sporting different headlamps, a chrome grille and the re-sculptured bumper, while at the rear, the American model's expanded tail lamps give their place to single LED units with chrome detailing in between. The Italian model also gets its own alloy wheel designs.

The Viaggio is the first vehicle that Fiat will produce in China with its local partner GAC.

The Ford Focus sedan-rivaling model will go on sale in China in the third quarter of this year offering buyers a choice of two turbocharged petrol engines, the 1.4-litre T-Jet with either 120hp or 150hp, linked to either a 5-speed manual transmission or the Dual Dry Clutch Transmission (DDTC).
